project!
the other day i came across this episode on TLC called extreme couponing.
it's just BRILLIANT. and yes, that deserves a scream (in all CAPS!)
curious, i watched and was instantly amazed.
the show is about housewives who practically coupon "full time" while they're at home - and all the couponing they do saves their SO's a whole monthly salary worth of cash!
i was excited. i mean, really, really excited!
times are tough. and with the cost of living here in silicon valley going nowhere but UP, we've got to do all we can do to make resources available to us, work for us. kwim?
my goal here is to not only contribute to my family, but with excess couponing and items obtained through this venture, i hope to eventually become so good at it, that i may donate to my favorite local charities: humane society and milpitas food pantry.
what i've done so far.
1. researched coupons online. *important to read store coupon policy - each store is different*
some stores allow you to double in-store coupon with manufacturer coupons and some may not.
2. signed up online for a dozen coupon databases which update you on weekly specials you may print from your home computer.
3. clip, organize, store then shop!
ten, k8 and i went to staples today and got a coupon binder based on "iamthatlady's" youtube vlog about extreme couponing advice. see the youtube vlog HERE (click)
so, binder? check.
plastic inserts? check.
scissors & post it's? check.
kay, i'm ready to start! anyone want to join me?! we can $ave together and help our favorite local charities!!
